Makaela Perkins | Photography II | Pd .1

1.the hardest portrait to make was the collage. the collage was hard because i had to find which picture i wanted to us. then i had to find what pictures i wanted to put in that picture and it was really hard because i had to cut out a lot of different things, i also had to do alot of overlaying and other stuff.
2. The easiest altered portrait to do was the sepia picture because it was easy to make it black and white and then just add brown to the picture. it wasn't too hard i didn't have to do extra overlaying and cutting out.
3. Altered portrait to a view means a picture/portrait that is edited and messed around with. like made black and white, and maybe some color in certain places. Altered portrait to a Photographer a photo being manipulated.adding and removing certain things in the picture.
4.i would likely create the collage one because i really liked the way mine come out, even though it was the hardest one for me , i really liked doing it, the cutting out was fun and having to think about what goes well with whats in the picture, i just thought i was fun.
5.the historical teqnique was the cyanotype picture.i like the blue image, and i learned how to make the picture look more older and burn out the edges.
6.it is important to learn altered portraits because it can come in handy when it comes to making a photograph that you took more unique and more appealing to the eye.
7.No i think all portraits shouldn't be altered, some are meant to be messed around and have things added in, but some aren't, some pictures look good without having to edit it. so i don't think all portraits should be altered.
8.by altering a portrait it allows you to manipulate an image. you can change the picture however you want, make a person look younger or older, make a person lighter r darker, put them in the background you want then in.
Blur Motion

1. blur motion is when a certain subject in an image is blur and looks like it doing a motion, while everything else in the camera is focused and clean and unblurry.
2. when we were in the sunlight we slowed the shutter speed and adjusted to the brightness, same goes for when we were in darker areas.
3.in a lot of the pictures i had my subjects move a lot and really fast. in some of the images i had them wave, or do jumping jacks, or flip their hair, and it would come back blurry
4. the difficult thing about shooting these images was slowing down the speed and overall getting the picture to actually be blurry, and figuring out what moves to do in order to make the images blur.
5. the easiest thing about these images was once we figured out exactly what we should do, it became more easier to pick what motions to do.
Forced Perspective

1.This image is of The subject trying to skateboard and stand on a twix candy bar.
2. this image uses forced perspective because it makes ray look like he is standing on the twix bar. when he isn't really standing on the twix bar.
3.i created this image by putting the twix bar close to the camera and i had ray go far from the camera so that he was a little bit smaller.
4.it was hard to make the forced perspective because i couldn't get the camera to focus on both subjects.
5.the line of sight affects the image because it makes it look like ray is standing on the twix. the distance affects the image by making ray look a little bit smaller and making the twix appear a little bigger.

1.this image is of a hand holding the vending machine . the vending machine says goodness inside so the hand is kind of holding a box full of goodness.
2. this image uses forced perspective because it makes the vending machine look a little bit smaller and the hand look bigger and the hand is cradling the vending machine.
3.i created this image by putting the hand close to the camera, and going a little distant from the vending machine.
4.it was hard making the vending machine looking small. it was also hard to focus the hand and the vending machine.
5.the line of sight affected the image by making making it look like the hand is directly under the vending machine. the depth of field affected the image wasn't really affected because the hand was still unfocused. the distance affected the image by making the vending machine smaller than it is.

1. this image is of ray holding angie in his hand. angie is really small and ray is laying down on his back .
2.this image uses forced perspective by making it seem like angie is being held in the palm of rays hand when she really isn't.
3. i created this image by making ray lay super close to the camera. and making angie move really far back almost to the end of the hallway and then ray propped his hand up.
4. what was hard about making this image was making sure angie was in the right spot, and making sure rays hand was lined up correctly.
5. the line of sight affected this image because it looks like angie was perfectly in the palm of rays hand. the depth of field affected this image because ray is super focused and angie is a little bit unfocused but just focused enough. distance affects this image because it makes it look like angie is small and ray is bigger.

1. this image is of ray holding a blue balloon.
2. this image uses forced perspective because it actually looks like the is holding the drawn balloon.
3.i created this image by going to a really high level and zooming the camera in and making ray lay on the floor and i pointed the camera downwards at him.
4. what was hard was making his hand look like he is holding the balloon, and making sure i was on a good level.
5. the line of sight affected the image because it made it look like the balloon was above him. the depth of field affected the image because both the balloon and ray were focused. the distance affected the image because the drawing was big but it looks smaller because i was far and higher.
1. in this image hand is holding an aquafina vending machine.
2. this image is using forced perspective because the hand looks like it is holding the vending machine.
3.i made this by going far from the vending machine and having victoria place her hand close to the camera so the hand looks bigger.
4.what was hard was getting the vending machine and the hand to both be in focus. but only the vending machine was focused on.
5. the line of sight affects this image because it makes it look like the vending machine is right in victorias hand. the depth of field affects the image because only the vending machine was in focus.the distance affects the image because it makes the vending machine look smaller than it really is.

1. this image is of ray standing on a water bottle cap balancing on one leg in the hallway.
2. this uses forced perspective because ray is standing on the cap.
3. i made this image by making ray stand on one leg and put the cap close t the camera
4. what was hard was getting the cap to focus and to make it look like ray was actually standing on the water bottle cap.
5.the line of sight affects this image because it makes the cap below rays foot.the depth of field affects the image because it makes the cap blurry and ray focused.

1. this image is of ray holding the sun in his hand while its rising.
2.this image uses forced perspective because it makes it look like he is actually holding the sun when we know he isn't.
3. this image was made by making ray stand infront of the camera and aim the camera at the sun and holding his hand out.
4. what was difficult about this image was making sure the brightness of the sun didn't affect the camera, and making sure rays hand was in the right spot.
5. the line of sight affected the image because it made it look like the sun was in his hand. the depth of field affected the image by having both subjects focused. the distance affects the image because if the sun was closer it wouldn't look right.

1. This image is of ray eating victoria and he is holding her by her arms.
2. this image uses forced perspective because ray it looks like ray is about to drop victoria into his mouth and eat her when he really isn't.
3. i made this image by making ray lay close to the camera and victoria go really far and hand off the stairs so that her feet aren't touching the ground.
4. what was hard was making sure victorias arms weren't too spread apart and rays fingers the same so that they both look real.
5. the line of sight affects this image because it makes victoria look directly above his mouth. the depth of feild affects the image because both subjects are in focus but the closer subject is more focused.
